Let's do Lunch...

...
Last week hubby and I were out and about on everyday chores, bill paying etc, when we stopped at Burghead sea front to enjoy the view. It was hubby who saw the pirate flag in the distance, waving above a little white caravan right on the edge of the harbour...
He knew exactly what the caravan meant - FOOD. All over Scotland you'll find them...in parking lots, on the side of roads. People selling food. I love it. :-) It was lunch time, so we went to take a closer look...
... and discovered the best bacon rolls I've had in Scotland. :-P I'm drooling thinking of them! Really good food cooked while you look out at this view...
Could anything be more perfect? ;-)

  2. Bacon sarnies-----Ahhhhhhh! I miss them. Bacon here is all similar to what we'd call streaky, but aways cooked until really hard, usually picked up between the fingers.

A nice rasher of two of Danish back bacon or Irish, between some good wholemeal bread with proper butter.....mmmmmm. Dribbles....

  4. Not sure what these are but they sound delicious. Of course anything with bacon has to be...:)

You are so right...eating good food with this kind of scenery is the best! Beautiful! :) XX

  5. Not for me, I'm afraid. I'm very boring when it comes to chippers or baconners.
I hate anything with grease dribbling off it.

    Don't like meat.

mind you, that scenery would be a wonderful lunch for me! And I'm sure you were bombarded by Herring Gulls there too. They smell free food.

Basically fried bacon (prefereably not too crispy) in a burger roll. :-)

    Hi Yoke
The herring gulls were surprisingly well behaved. They really can be awful. I am a bird lover, but herring gulls truly stretch that affection to the limit!

So.. what's your favourite lunch for an outdoor meal? :-)
