Change Your Perception

It's the stuff we think we know
That stops us all from learning.
It's the wood that needs to grow
That keeps your fires burning.

You can educate a fool,
You can wrap him up in learnin',
You can read him all rules,
But you can never make him think...

Chorus:
With an instant radical change of perception
A hundred and eighty degrees in direction
Inoculate against the infection
And set a new course on a brand new trajection
In a brand new direction

It's the greenhouse that we're heating
That makes tomorrow colder,
And doomsday drums are beating
A tattoo upon your shoulder.

You can educate a fool,
He could be a title holder.
You could read him all the rules,
But you can never make him think...

Chorus:
With an instant radical change of perception
A hundred and eighty degrees in direction
Inoculate against the infection
And set a new course on a brand new trajection

In a brand new direction
A change of perception
On a brand new trajection

  1. So very true...I know when I purposely change my perception of something, it gives me a whole new outlook on things. We take way too much for granted in our world...in our own personal lives...it's good for us to stop and think about these things that we do without thinking of it's consequence to someone or something else.

    Happy Sunday! XX

  2. Food for thought post. It reminds me of something that a coworker told me just the other day: that there are always new things to learn, even after you've been somewhere for a few years (in this case a workplace) he he he...'coz the other day something happened that had never happened before.

I always enjoy UB40's music. Their lurics always hold way more than you realise at a first listen. They make you look at things from that "different perspective", which is such good thing, I think.
